Government Sources

• EPA (Environmental Protection Agency): Fuel economy, annual fuel cost, emissions data. fueleconomy.gov
• NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration): Crash test safety ratings, recalls, and owner complaints. nhtsa.gov

Independent Research Organizations

• IIHS (Insurance Institute for Highway Safety): Crash test ratings, Top Safety Pick awards. iihs.org
• RepairPal: Reliability ratings. repairpal.com
• AAA (American Automobile Association): Annual ownership cost estimates by vehicle class. newsroom.aaa.com

Government Tax Credit Data

• IRS: Federal EV tax credit history. The clean vehicle credits (IRC 30D new, IRC 25E used) are not available for vehicles acquired after September 30, 2025. Credit amounts shown on this site are historical. irs.gov

Manufacturer Data

Vehicle specifications (dimensions, engine, drivetrain) are sourced from manufacturer-published data.

How Data Is Combined

Each vehicle page shows data from multiple sources. Every data point is labeled with its source using a badge in the section header. Source-specific data is never blended or averaged across sources without clear labeling.
